Thus, to get as accurate readings as possible, always try to take bearing from the center of an island to the center of the other island.
Note: Depending on where exactly you are on an island, there may be measurement deviations of several degrees. The principle is a bit more complicated than the above, but it builds on what has been explained so far, and once you got the idea of how it works, it will capture you.
